Music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity. A high-quality music education should engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. As pupils progress, they should develop a critical engagement with music, allowing them to compose, and to listen with discrimination to the best in the musical canon.

Music is a key part of life at St Luke's, whether it's singing in the choir, piano lessons, woodwind lessons or playing string instruments in Class 5 and 6

Visitors to our school frequently comment on the musical sounds around our school whilst we practice and prepare for our many musical events including assemblies, masses, concerts and productions. None of this would be possible without our wonderful and talented pupils from across both KS1 and KS2.

If you are interested in working with our fabulously talented pupils then please contact the school office and ask to speak to Mrs Fairman.

Frodsham Christmas Tree Festival at Frodsham Methodist Church

On Friday 7th December, our School Choir were invited to sing at the opening of the Frodsham Christmas Tree Festival at Frodsham Methodist Church. The choir sang beautifully surrounded by carefully decorated Christmas Trees from different communties, including our own St Luke's Christmas Tree.

Frodsham Festival

On Saturday 24th November, the choir performed at the Frodsham Christmas Festival on the main stage. They were very professional when they performed and the residents of Frodsham were feeling very festive after our performances. Well done to all of the children who were involved.

Upcoming Events

Young Voices 2019 - Thursday 14th February

Once again, St Luke's are part of the 'Largest Concert Series in the World'. We will be performing at the Manchester Arena alongside thousands of other primary school choirs. Last year's concert was incredible and enjoyed by children (and teachers!) and parents who came to watch the show. This year, the Young Voices will be singing alongside guest stars Beau Dermott (From Britain's Got Talent) and Tony Hadley. Rehearsals are under way and we can't wait to be part of this again this year!

AmaSing 2019 - Tuesday 12th March

Following a very successful performance last year, St Luke's are once again part of the AmaSing choir. This is a special project across Cheshire where over 30 primary school choirs come together to sing in a fabulous concert at the Storyhouse Theatre in Chester. We are really proud to be part of this project and can't to perform at this fantastic venue next year.
