Music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity. A high-quality music education should engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. As pupils progress, they should develop a critical engagement with music, allowing them to compose, and to listen with discrimination to the best in the musical canon.

Music is a key part of life at St Luke's, whether it's singing in the choir, piano lessons, woodwind lessons, learning to play the recorder in Class 3 and 4 or playing string instruments in Class 5 and 6

Visitors to our school frequently comment on the musical sounds around our school whilst we practice and prepare for our many musical events including assemblies, masses, concerts and productions. None of this would be possible without our wonderful and talents pupils from across both KS1 and KS2.

If you are interested in working with our fabulously talented pupils then please contact the school office and ask to speak to Mrs Fairman.
