FA coaching , by Mr Taylor

We have been delighted with the FA coaching sessions class 3 and 4 have been undertaking in the summer term.  These have helped encourage teamwork whilst focusing on skill development enjoyment of sport.  This has proved so popular that we have set up an after school club led by our FA coach, James Burton.

Diamond Cricket Year 3 and Year 4, by Mr Taylor

On our first ever go at Diamond Cricket we finished 3rd and got an amazing medal. 

The sun was out, it was a great day for cricket!

Eveyone had an amazing time.

We have been having a great time for British Science Week.

We have been doing the tin challenge.  Which tin will role the furthest?

We have made a prediction, discussed how to keep it a fair test and carried out a practical investigation to find out.

Using this information, we will be creating and analysing graphs.

WBD Where The Wild Things Are, by Mr Taylor

We got to perform and create a dance to go with Where The Wild Things Are.

Everyone took part, worked as groups and got to work with a professional choreographer.

World Book Day, by Mr Taylor

We have had an amazing time.

We got to work in our amazing costumes.

Everyone looked fab.

In the afternoon we got to create a dance to Where The Wild Things Are which is a book we have looked at.


NSPCC Number Day, by Mr Taylor

We all came into school with our fantastic costumes.  We have had footballers, calculators, dice, clocks and many more wonderful ideas. 

Jason even helped Mr Taylor with his costume in early bird. 

Mr Taylor took the register in numbers

Harvey Adamson was number 1 and Jason You was 18.


We then played 21 together.  You have to count up 21 and whoever says 21 is out.  We found out that Sophia is the champion of this game.


We then used our number skills to play bingo.  Harvey and Ava got a full house!


After lunch we did some tricky problems.

The children in our class really responded with kindness and support following our CAFOD assembly


Basketball Club, by Mr Taylor

Basketball club started this week and we have had a geat uptake in those wanting to take part.  We have had to expand the club to run on 2 different nights TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS 

Tuesdays = Year 3 and 4

Thursdays = Year 5 and 6

The aim of these sessions is to impove and develop key skills whilst still having fun!

Thoese in Year 5 and 6 have the opporunity to represent the school at local tournaments
