Class 2 Safety Central

Class: Class 2 Year: 2022 - 2023

One of our highlights was our trip to Safety Central.  It was amazing!  The children found out lots of different ways that we can say safe, identified hazards around the home and even took part in an interactive quiz. When we arrived we took a quiz and didn’t do very well.  At the end of the session we took the quiz again and the group scored over 96%.  Thank you to Cheshire Fire Brigade who lead the sessions in their purpose built training facility.  Special mentions to our parental helpers who made the visit run so smoothly.  When we arrived, we spilt into two teams.  During the visit, we looked at hazards in the home, on the road, railway and the dangers of fire.  We explored healthy eating and looked at ways we can stay active.  Some of our ‘naughty’ fire fighters did some silly things in each location but we spotted them and helped them identify their mistakes!  Some of the group became quite bossy and enjoyed explaining what they should be doing.  Overall the whole class, Mr Taylor and our helpers all learnt lots and showed fantastic learning across the day.
