The Mission

As promised, here are our two Holy Week videos for 2025. With a number of schools not in school for any of Passiontide, I wanted to get these videos to you nice and early. I really hope that schools can show these videos before the end of term and/or share with parents so that families can watch at home. One of the many beauties of our Catholic faith is that we build towards the high points of the year. After all of the prayer and reflection we have undertaken in Lent, we pray that all children can also experience the most sacred time of the year, Holy Week.

We have focused on the Last Supper in both videos. When we were praying and planning these videos my friend Fr Gabriel said

“The Last Supper! It’s all there, the Eucharist, the Sacrifice, the Cross. It is all played out in the upper room!”

The videos share how Jesus’s sacrifice, the Paschal Mystery, began at the Last Supper and was accomplished on the cross. We also share how at every Mass, we see Jesus’s sacrifice re-presented.
